Day #3: a lost tooth and a fat lip

We spent the whole afternoon driving around Tuxtla running errands, but in the end we didn't get very much accomplished (I will rant some other time about how difficult it is to accomplish anything quickly and efficiently in a 3rd world country). While we were out Emory lost another tooth, and she is very excited about that. By the time we got home it was late and the kids were pretty wired from being stuck in a car all day. Instead of getting ready for their baths, as they were told, they had a bit of an altercation in the bedroom while unsupervised that resulted in a little blood, a fat lip, and a LOT of drama.

This is what happens when your little brother throws a hair brush at you and actually makes contact.

Here is the latest gap in Emory's smile which compliments her fat lip nicely

A very penitent Lucas, worried that the tooth fairy might not give Emory her tooth money when he sees her fat lip wrote a little note of explanation. As you can clearly see it was his fault because he threw the brush, even though he was provoked into doing so. There were also copious amounts of blood acoording to Lucas' representation.

  1. Sorry about the fat lip. Good for Lucas (for trying to make restitution, not for hitting his mark with the brush). :)
